What is the New Beginnings Campaign?

This September, the Caneille Regional Development Fund is launching New Beginnings, a campaign to support the addition of 3-k and 4-k classes at L'ecole de la Grace in response to a new mandate from the Ministry of Education.

The ministry believes it is imperative to facilitate access to all Haitian children, regardless of their parents' socio-economic situation, and we agree. This is an exciting time for Caneille--one third of adults never attended elementary school and now their children and grandchildren will receive free, life-changing pre-school. Quality early childhood education leads to school readiness and predicts future success in student performance.

This initiative is taking place across Haiti quickly with the mandate coming just weeks before the start of the 25/26 school year and we need your help.

To help us reach the campaign goal, Oliver and Rebecca Zornow, have offered to host a backyard party to raise funds for preschool in Haiti.
